In summary
PORTÉE does not seek to know who you are. The site uses no advertising cookies, engages in no profiling, builds no browsing history, and resells no data. Browsing the calendar requires no account and leaves no personal trace.
Person responsible for the protection of personal information
In accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec, known as “Law 25”):
Jean Arnold, Person Responsible for the Protection of Personal Information Email: info@porteemtl.ca
Information collected, and why
If you simply browse the site: no personal information. The site measures its audience using a cookie-free statistical tool without individual identifiers—we know how many people view a page, never who they are.
If you list a concert: your email address, solely to send you the submission confirmation, the link to modify your listing, and the publication notice. This address is stored using one-way encryption: it cannot be read back, only compared. It is never used for promotional communications.
If you write to us: the content of your message and the reply address.
What we do not do
No newsletters, no solicitation, no reselling or disclosure of your information to third parties for commercial purposes. No automated decision-making regarding you. No advertising profiles.
Retention period
Information related to a concert listing is retained for as long as necessary to manage it, and then for up to twelve months following the date of the concert for calendar archiving purposes. Received messages are kept for twenty-four months. Beyond these periods, they are destroyed.
Hosting and transfers outside Quebec
Data is hosted by Vercel Inc. and Supabase Inc., and emails are routed by Resend Inc. These service providers may process or store data outside Quebec, particularly in the United States. They are subject to contractual obligations regarding protection. Given the extremely low volume of personal information processed, the risk associated with these transfers is deemed low.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to your personal information, as well as its rectification or deletion, or withdraw your consent. Write to info@porteemtl.ca; a response will be provided within a maximum of thirty days.
You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Privacy incident
In the event of an incident presenting a risk of serious harm, the individuals concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information will be notified without delay, and the incident will be logged in the register required by law.
